SERVICES
As a writer and editor, I take pride in my flexibility, responding to writers' needs as they arise. While many publication house editors focus on finding pre-edited manuscripts to skimp on as much work as possible, my mission is to help new authors elevate their craft and tell their stories, whatever form that may take.
I have written and edited speeches and letters, scripts and screenplays, and even essays and theses; and I am sure that whatever type and level of editing you may need, I can offer it.
I have used and am familiar with APA, MLA, and Chicago styles, but would be excited to learn others if the occasion demands it. I mostly work in Microsoft Word for its efficiency, but I am more than happy to work in Google Docs or other online softwares as the need arises.
The services listed below are largely guideline packages, not a strict menu. All packages include a consultation so we can be sure you're getting help that's right for you.

If you need to contact me, I will answer my phone and emails from 10am-6pm CST. If needed, I am also willing to set up Zoom or Skype calls, as everybody could use a little face-to-face interaction now and again.
Minimal Edits
Many times, rather than true editing, we writers only need a nudge in the right direction. I offer suggestions on how your writing and your piece can be improved or make small, specific changes as requested
Heavy Edits
Standard Edits
This is your basic editing package: you tell me what you'd like done with your piece, in terms of writing, and I do it. I also leave comments where necessary and helpful
Closer to coaching or mentorship than pure editing. You ask for the level of editing you want, and I provide not only a completely edited document, but also extensive notes on your voice, style, flow, and other elements of individual flavor

ABOUT ME
Josh Santos
I founded this company with the dream of helping aspiring writers hone their voices. By providing reliable suggestions to my clients and meeting them where they are in their journeys, I can proudly say that I have succeeded.
I specialize in fantasy because I've loved it fiercely from the first time I read The Hobbit. As many did, I fell in love with Middle Earth, and it BLEW MY ACTUAL MIND how someone could describe in so much detail a setting that will never exist. I began to devour Salvatore's Legend of Drizzt novels (which I would later realize were canonical in the D&D Forgotten Realms) and have read at least the first book of most big fantasy series out there. An unapologetic neophile, I have found this exercise hugely rewarding. I read other genres too, of course. I found Atul Gawande's Being Mortal an incredibly powerful nonfiction, and Harris' Silence of the Lambs changed my expectations for novels as a whole.
My journey to discover new and amazing stories has been many splendored, but each of the authors that wowed me stood upon piles of revisions and test reads, to the last one. Eventually, I realized it wasn't enough for me to read great writing. I needed to help make it.
In time, I hope to expand my company to include other capable writers and editors with the goal of reaching even more new authors and adding to the ever-increasing number of truly excellent books.
